Environmental impact assessment

We provide environmental impact assessment (EIA) services for small and large-scale RE, mining, and oil and gas projects. We have the knowledge and expertise to undertake environmental scoping and assessment of your project’s impact on fauna and flora according to the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) Part IV statutory requirements and the Environmental Biodiversity Protection and Conservation (EBPC) Act 1999.

With our extensive international research publications, we have the expertise to conduct the EIA for multi-national projects that comply with internationally recognised standards and practices such as the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards and the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services standards by the International Association of Impact Assessment.

We employ advanced geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and field data collection methods to enhance data integrity. We have access to multiple up-to-date databases in Australia, Africa, and selected regions across the world that we triangulate our data with to strengthen the credibility of our work.

We strongly believe interdisciplinary work yields robust outcomes, so we have collaborated with different environmental professionals and institutions across the world to undertake internationally recognised EIA work. For instance, in 2013, our director, partnered with Chinese researchers at Hohai University and the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University to investigate the extent of heavy metal pollution in China’s Pearl Delta River. Also, in 2015, he partnered with researchers in Queensland and Melbourne to examine the challenges of using Remote Sensing for inland water monitoring.
